Annual Hari Raya Gathering
Every year, Rahidah would invite my family over to her place for Hari Raya which my girls really look forward to. Unfortunately this year, when she invited us, I had to go away for my study trip on the same day. Instead of just going with it, Rahidah intentionally set aside another day specially for us, including having her mother prepare the curry chicken (less spicy for us)! I am really touched by Rahidah's gesture.

Today is the second part of the AL2.6 workshop. It was wonderful to have the teachers shared their experiences of implementing self-assessment in their classes.

My Neighbour
This is my neighbour. He doesn't talk much but he is friendly enough to spend time interacting non-verbally with me. He belongs to the vet who has opened a vet clinic at my block.

Food in Disguise
Can you believe that this Japanese bento set is vegetarian?!
Although it is vegetarian (I wouldn't be able to tell it is vegetarian if I weren't in the restaurant), everything tasted absolutely delicious!

Lightning & Lightning
There is a fierce thunderstorm now which started last night, with flashes of lightning streaking across the sky and at times, brightening up the sky as if it was day. Tried to catch the lightning streaks but they were too fast.

Meetings
I had back-to-back meetings today since 9:30am in the morning until 6:30pm with only 30 minutes break in between. I have never been so exhausted and so hungry. I didn't have my lunch until after all my meetings which should count as my dinner.

Education 3-13, Volume 44 Issue 4
My article entitled "I can assess myself: Singaporean primary students' and teachers' perceptions of students' self-assessment ability" is finally published in Education 3-13 International Journal, Volume 44, Issue 4, pages 442 to 457.
It is so surreal to see my article in an actual journal. :P
