Life's Simple Pleasures - Wall of Cheers

Simple pleasures of life - this Wall of Cheers never fail to cheer me up when I read the notes of encouragement written by students to other students who are participating in competition, PSLE, or some major event. The students can post notes for anyone, need not just be for friends and classmates that they know! I love my counselling school for encouraging her students to care for each other. A simple note can mean a lot! 
This is one school that has its values and character building on the right track. :)

After an extremely stressful week (thank goodness, with good outomes!), it is extremely relaxing and refreshing to have a good breakfast at Botanic Gardens with a good friend yesterday and to walk among and admire all the pleasures Mother Nature has to offer.

After a stressful week, there's nothing more pleasurable than spending some quality time with my daughters! My girls and I started with having Korean desserts, Bingsu at Orchard Central, together with Brenda, Marieann's classmate.

After the indulgent Bingsu, we went shopping or rather I followed the girls while they shopped at Somerset 313, and Scape.

We had an early dinner at Astons. Brenda went home soon after while we ended off the day with another Korean dessert, Teh Gah Dai ice cream from Honey Creme before making our way home too. :)

Life's Simple Pleasures IV

I was initially going for a walk at the former railway tracks with my neighbour. However as it rained really heavily the night before which made the tracks muddy, the plan was abandoned. I decided to just go to Botanic Gardens instead. Just after 9am, it started raining again after I had my breakfast at the gardens. But what a pleasure it was, walking at the Botanic Gardens in the rain. It was refreshingly cool and uplifting of the spirit. :)

There is a sunbird's nest at my counselling school. Today, I was surprised to discover there's a sunbird in it. I spent several moments watching it in its nest and enjoying this simple pleasure of life. 

I also pointed this simple pleasure out to each of my counsellees and it is also a delight to see each of their faces lighting up upon seeing the little sunbird in its nest. :)
