Staying right next to Singapore Botanic Gardens has its advantages as well as its disadvantages. I am definitely close to nature, including all the flora and fauna. But I am also close to the "noise pollution". Every day, there is one or a whole family of red junglefowl (taking turns?!) which never fail to crow at all sort of odd hours, including late at night, early morning and throughout the day.
It can get nerve-wrecking at times. :S
making it easier to keep in touch with family and friends

The Eclipse Test
| "Your Unity Eclipses Your Fear" |
![]() |
You are a warm and friendly person. You have an underlying need to connect with the world.
You crave the company of other people, but you also are drawn towards animals and nature. You don't like to feel isolated.
You believe that we all have more in common than we realize. After all, we all do sleep under the same sky.
You are generally able to put differences aside or address them constructively. You are a consensus seeker.

Nature in Harmony
I really like this photo which I took at the Singapore Botanic Gardens two weekends ago.
Can you see what are on the lily pad? Here's a closer photo.
A tiny frog and an insect, side by side, on the lily pad. Nature in harmony.

Life's Simple Pleasures - Mother Nature 2016
After an extremely stressful week (thank goodness, with good outomes!), it is extremely relaxing and refreshing to have a good breakfast at Botanic Gardens with a good friend yesterday and to walk among and admire all the pleasures Mother Nature has to offer.

The flowers seem more vibrant in colour after the heavy downpour during the late morning and afternoon.

Post National Day Holiday
It is the day after National Day, another public holiday as it replaced National Day falling on Sunday. Juliane and I went to Food for Thought, Singapore Botanic Gardens for lunch. Marieann refused to go with us and she's smart because it started raining while I was ordering food. I decided to try local fare and ordered chicken laksa and iced rose bundung ripple latte. OMG, I almost died from the spiciness. No idea what I was thinking when I made my order! :P
After our lunch, the rain had stopped. We walked around the garden to admire nature and to walk off our lunch. :)
A visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens is a nice end to the National Day Jubilee Weekend. :)

Nature in the Rain
Nature looks different in the rain. Nature seems more alive, colours seem enhanced and brighter, and everything seems more beautiful and romantic. :)

Sunny Moth
Saw this little beauty resting on the floor along the corridor of my work place when I went to the canteen for lunch. It was still there at the same spot when I returned from lunch.
Managed to snap its photo before it flew away into the sun.
