Students' Work Experience II
Today marks the end of the three Sec 4 students' time with my project for their work experience. We hope they have learnt some take-away which they can apply in their future. We certainly enjoyed having them with us.

It's Happening Again
My new notebook is having the Excel issue again. I cannot save it in its latest version, except 1997-2003 version! Need to ask IT support for help again.

Peyta Ransomware Attack 2017
There has been a global cyber attack using the Peyta encrypting malware. As someone not very IT savvy, I am very cautious about receiving emails from unfamiliar persons and organisation. I would usually just delete the emails without opening the attachments.
Better update my Norton Security on a regular basis.

Korea Trip 2017 Update
It has been a few days since we came back from our Korea 2017 trip. It will take me a while to update my blog posts on the trip as I have lots of work to catch up on. Please bear with me. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

NEW New Notebook & Monitor
In all my years of working at NIE, this is the first time in 13 years that I am getting a brand NEW notebook! I am extremely thrilled! I have always been getting refurbished notebooks (four times over the course of 13 years) and frankly, I am getting tired about the slow speed of those notebooks.

SMSS's 175th Anniversary Green Dot & Homecoming Funfair
Immediately after the talk at NLB in the late morning, I rushed down to Marieann's school, St Margaret's Secondary School for its 175th Anniversary Green Dot and Homecoming Funfair. I wanted to show support to Marieann's school as well as her class stall. I got Marieann to play the game at her class stall on my behalf and I also bought quite a few items, mainly food and a St Margaret's Secondary School drawstring bag.

National Library Talk - Four Conversations
I attended a talk at National Library Board (NLB) by Prof Root-Bernstein on "Creativity as an Essential Skill for Future-Readiness". I really enjoyed the talk. Prof Root-Bernstein was one of our Keynoters at recently successfully concluded RPIC 207 held at NIE.
