NEW New Notebook & Monitor

In all my years of working at NIE, this is the first time in 13 years that I am getting a brand NEW notebook! I am extremely thrilled! I have always been getting refurbished notebooks (four times over the course of 13 years) and frankly, I am getting tired about the slow speed of those notebooks.

New Proposal?

Thinking seriously...

Heavy by Linkin Park

Here is a new song, Heavy from Linkin Park. Quite a departure from their usual metal/ rock but still catchy nonetheless. :)

New Kid on the Block?

A new cat? Same cat?

We are ready for the new year. :)

Politeness

A Thank you gift from a new friend because I hosted him for dinner. So polite! :)

Stranger Things

I have been hearing good reviews about this new TV series of sci-fi & supernatural genre, Stranger Things.
Should I watch it? But where to find the time...

Time to say Hello

to my new office, 5-B3-27.

It will probably take me a few weeks to finally organise and tidy up my things. Hopefully I can show nicer photos of my office then.

Time to say Goodbye

This has been my workstation for the past eight years since 12 May 2008 until now 20 June 2016.

Before - 12 years of stuff since working here in 2004

After - 12 years of stuff all gone

I will miss you.

A New Beginning

starts today.

Replacement

I bought a replacement notebook for my current ASUS which I have been using since March 2011. The current ASUS heats up very quickly when I am using it. I think the fan is probably gone after 5 years of use.

Friday 13th = Lucky

Someone is feeling lucky. This arrived today via delivery. Rose gold!

No, it is not me. I don't fancy iPhone at all.

Ready for Collection

My new passport is ready for collection. But I am too lazy to go all the way to Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. I decided to opt for collection at an alternative site - SingPost. Although I have to pay an administration fee for collection at SingPost, it is a small price to pay for the convenience I get.

Zoo

I managed to catch the first episode of Zoo on tv and I am intrigued. Can't wait to watch it next week. Hmm, maybe I should read the book too. :)

At LONG Last

I finally got my new notebook in 2015!
My current notebook was issued to me back in 2009 after the previous one crashed. But somewhere in 2011, the hard disk crashed and I had to buy a new hard disk to replace it as there was no replacement notebook. There was one or two occasions which I could change to a "new" notebook but I didn't because the "new" notebook was basically an upgraded old notebook (bought in 2010 or 2011). I am really happy that I hold out until now. Otherwise, I would not have gotten a brand new notebook! :)

New Hp Probook, Hp monitor, mouse and keyboard! :)

Week 1 Term 1 2015

This coming week is considered Week 1, Term 1 of 2015. For this week, the schools will be testing out and finalising their time-tables to make sure there are no clashes.

Sec 1 Reporting Day

Today is Secondary 1 Reporting Day. Both Marieann and I were at her new school by 8:15am.
The Principal's Address started at 8:30am promptly. By 9:30am, I was queuing up to buy Marieann's Sec 1 textbooks and other school materials. I managed to get the books within 20 minutes. By the time I was done with buying the books, the queue for uniforms was extremely LONG! Thank goodness, my father was already queuing up while we were queuing for the books. He is the seasoned shopper in the family lol. :P
By 10:40am, we were back home. However, I had to go back to school again to change the size of the new uniforms as they were slightly too big for Marieann. We are really thankful that we live close by to her new school. :) A mere 10 minutes' distance by car/ bus. :)

Blank Space by Taylor Swift

Heard that Taylor Swift's new song, Blank Space was released on 10 November 2014 while we were holidaying in Penang. It has only been a week and it has hit 41.5 million views!!! OMG in a good way lol. :P Well, it is a very catchy song. :)

New Read

Just discovered a new series of books to read. It's the Event Group Adventure series by David Goleman. It has the mystery, the action, the adventure, the mystics that I enjoy. :) Just started on the first book, Event and I haven't been able to put it down. :)
