NEW New Notebook & Monitor
In all my years of working at NIE, this is the first time in 13 years that I am getting a brand NEW notebook! I am extremely thrilled! I have always been getting refurbished notebooks (four times over the course of 13 years) and frankly, I am getting tired about the slow speed of those notebooks.

Green Lines
I have a new monitor at work and it has been used just under a month. However for the third time within a month, green lines have appeared on the screen when I switched it on.
I don't think that is normal. I think I will need to inform the IT department... :(

At LONG Last
I finally got my new notebook in 2015!
My current notebook was issued to me back in 2009 after the previous one crashed. But somewhere in 2011, the hard disk crashed and I had to buy a new hard disk to replace it as there was no replacement notebook. There was one or two occasions which I could change to a "new" notebook but I didn't because the "new" notebook was basically an upgraded old notebook (bought in 2010 or 2011). I am really happy that I hold out until now. Otherwise, I would not have gotten a brand new notebook! :)

My New Monitor
With a colleague's help, I managed to set up my new LG 21.5" LED monitor. Wow, it looks so huge haha. :) The monitor that I borrowed from my friend was a 4:3 monitor.It will take some getting used to the wide screen monitor lol. :P

Shopping for Monitor
I finally got the approval from the IT department at my workplace to buy the monitor I needed for work. I am so happy. :) The new monitor would really help with my work, especially when I need to compare between SPSS files, word documents, etc. Currently I have been using a monitor which I borrowed from a good friend. After work, I went down to Sim Lim Square and bought a LG 21.5" LED monitor! :) Can't wait to set it up at work tomorrow. :)
