Supermoon of November 2016

It is supposedly a supermoon because the moon is at its closest point of approach in its orbit around Earth. Unfortunately there was cloud cover and the moon can't really be seen properly.

P6 Graduation Night

I attended a thought-provoking talk in the evening at The Head Foundation. It was also a delight to meet  former NIE colleagues at the talk. After the talk, we had dinner together and caught up with one another.

I also took the opportunity to walk around Boat Quay after a sumptuous meal to enjoy the beautiful night scenery by the river.

Sentosa

Sentosa is a very different place now compared to the Sentosa from my childhood/ youth memory. In the name of progress, Sentosa has been further developed . I am not sure if it is a good thing or bad...
However, Sentosa Cove does remind me of South Bank in Brisbane, or Darling Harbour in Sydney. :)

Late Night Work

It has been a while since I last worked so late into the night. The last time had been back in August 2012!

Working Late

We are going into school for a reading test tomorrow morning. But we still have a few things to prepare before our school visit.

My colleagues/ friends and I stayed back late in the office to prepare the passages. It was tiring but I think we had fun while working. Jokes were cracked around the table while working hard to sort out the different combinations of passages. With many pairs of hands, we finally got the job done at 8.30pm. :)

Great teamwork, Ladies. We will celebrate tomorrow! :)

Late Night

I attended a farewell dinner for a colleague who is retiring. By the time it was done, it was close to 8pm. I went back to office to do some work. By the time I was done, it was close to 9pm. There weren't anyone left in the office and it was DARK! Hahaha. I have never stayed so late in the office before. It is kind of scary and ... exciting lol. :P

Why I Stay Up Late?

Sometimes, I get asked by my friends and cousins about why am I still up late at night, such as 1, 2 am in the morning? How did they know? Oh, through msn, lol.

Well, I find it easier to do work at night. I find that my thoughts are clearer at night. I like to read at night. I like the quietness of the night. I like to look at the stars in the night sky.

Anyway, here is another reason why I stay up late at night. I am a night person, lol.

You Are a Night Person

For you, there's nothing worse than having to get up and moving early. In fact, you probably don't hit your peak until well after the sun has set. So if your struggling to make it on a normal schedule, realize it's not your fault. You just weren't meant to do anything during the day!

Night Drive

I forgot that I had to return my library books today. To think I used to be a librarian and was most attentive to such details, sigh. Anyway, when the girls' father returned home at 8pm+, he drove me to the Queenstown library. Of course, the girls tagged along, they wouldn't miss the chance for a drive, lol.

The drive to the library was a nice one. There weren't too many tall buildings around the area so you could still see the night sky and its stars quite clearly. The thing in Singapore is that there are so many tall buildings around which meant the lights from these buildings would obscure the light from the stars. But tonight, I saw the stars shining quite brightly which was very nice.

I miss my night drives. I used to do that a lot when I was in Australia. You can really see the stars and most clearly too. I love looking at the stars. It really refreshes the senses, the mind, the body and the soul. I love the night sky and its stars. To me, it is the most beautiful time of the day. Told you, I am a night owl. Lol. :)
