Good News IV

My colleague alerted me to this special online issue by Taylor & Francis that collated a collection of articles around School and Teacher Assessment because my research article has been included in this special issue. What a wonderful surprise! :) Feeling proud that Singapore is represented by my article - "I can assess myself: Singaporean students' and teachers' perceptions of students' self-assessment ability". :)
For those of you who are interested in assessment, click here for a whole collection of interesting articles. Enjoy reading. :)

Happy Birthday, Marieann!

Today is a special day for Marieann. A new beginning and start for her in many ways.
First, she is going to a new school, St Margaret's Secondary School and I am happy that she is adjusting well.
Second, she is taking the public transport to school after taking the school bus for the past 6 years. She is growing independent!
Finally, today is Marieann's birthday!

A new beginning on your birthday!
Happy Birthday, Marieann

I love you very much. I will always support you no matter what happens (even though I may not seem that way to you at particular points of time). I wish you all the success and all the best in all that you do!
Love always, your mother

Specialness

I have just been notified that my abstract has been accepted for a conference in Australia at the end of the year. :) It has been a while since I attended a conference with the last one being in December 2010, in Australia too lol. This conference is going to be special for me because for the first time, I will be attending it as a PhD holder. I can't think of a better place to attend my first conference as a PhD holder because Australia has always been and will always be a special place for me! :)
