My girls had two days of e-learning due to the PSLE oral examinations. No doubt, e-learning, IT and technology is the future but asking primary school aged children to do e-learning can be really frustrating, especially when faced with IT issues.
On the first day of e-learning, my girls have had problems with some of the files that they had to watch before they proceeded to do their assigned homework. They either couldn't open those files or the links embedded within the files didn't work. How would the children know how to solve the IT issues or what to do in such situations? As a result, my girls could only finish the remainder of their first day homework very late at night after I came back from work to solve the IT issues. Even then, one or two still couldn't be opened. :( :( Apparently, my girls weren't the only students who had had problems with their e-learning assignments because on the second day of e-learning, teachers sent messages about faulty files and also the steps to solve the IT issues were provided. Sigh.

ARGH!
I have been working for the last three hours on a proposal for a parents' talk. End of last week, my school asked if I could help to give a Parents' Talk on a certain topic. Although the topic is fairly new to me, I decided to help the school out and agreed to give the talk. I just can't resist accepting a challenge, lol. By agreeing to do the talk, I will learn more about the topic and it will also shake me out of my comfort zone. :)
While trying to write up the proposal, I was reading up too. Multitasking, lol. I was really pleased with what I have written and wanted to call it a night. However, when I tried to save, it refused to save and indicated there was an error. Oh well, never mind, I have still have the back up copy. But to my horror, even the back up copy was "corrupted" too. When I opened it, it was all gibberish! ARGH! Three hours of work down the drain. Sigh.
No choice, I have to start all over again. I will try to recall from memory what I have written. As a friend has previously mentioned, I have "an elephant's memory", lol. But I seriously hope I can still remember...

Frustration!
Frustration, frustration, frustration!
I submitted a paper yesterday that is due today. Finished it a day earlier. Happy! I started to do up some slides based on the paper I submitted yesterday, almost finishing. Happy! All seems to be going well. I am ahead of my work schedule…, am I, really?!
My principal investigator (PI) wanted something to be added into the slides. Ok, no problem, I just have to retrieve that data from another colleague. It was then I realised what my PI gave me to write for the paper didn’t correspond to what my colleague has. Apparently, my PI has two versions of the data and I might have been given the wrong version! ARGH! All my work for the paper and for the slides might have just gone down the drain. I am NOT happy. Still waiting for my PI to respond, I can’t do anything until then.
My PI just responded. I have to re-do everything! Looks like I have to stay up LATE tonight. And I was just laughing at someone who has to stay up last night to prepare some slides for presentation. Retribution or what?! Hahaha
Tonight, I will be working LATE!!! No rest for the "wicked". Hahaha. So feel free to drop in for a chat!

Friend said the moral of my story is: "Next time, don't finish your work ahead of time". Makes sense?! Hahaha.
