LINE Hacked

My student's LINE account was hacked! 
I received a message from "her" last Saturday asking for a favour. When I first received it, I thought it was rather strange as my student didn't address me at all and my students are never rude to me! The second alarm bell was when "she" asked me to help her buy 3x$100 iTune cards and "she" wanted me to send "her" the pics of the pin numbers on the cards! I was like what?! The third alarm bell was when I asked how "she" was going to pay me, "she" couldn't give me a straight answer. I decided to call my student. 
The first thing I heard my student say was "Ms Wong, it is NOT me! My LINE account has been hacked!". Lol. Ok, everything made sense now. :) I hope my student managed to get the hacker. 
Now I wonder if I should delete my LINE account as I set up only to communicate with my mother when she is overseas. 

2048

There is a new game, 2048 in which the player has to slide tiles on a 4x4 grid to combine them and to create a tile with the number 2048. Still figuring out how it works...

Where are my Lives?!

I accumulated over 30 lives and a few extra moves for my Candy Crush Saga level 382. However I just realised today that they are all GONE! What happened?! I want my lives back! Royally upset now! :(
Does the game, after a certain time frame, reset to zero with regards to the lives and extra moves?

Flapped into the Sunset

I came home from work and heard from my girls that Flappy Bird has died. 
I was like, "Err, ok. Just play again?"
No, they said the creator of Flappy Bird has pulled the game from App Store. There is no more Flappy Bird! The girls were commenting how lucky they are to have downloaded the game before it was gone.
Oh, ok lol. 
Bye, Flappy Bird.

Behind Times

I was told that I was behind times by my girls. :( 
Why? Because I was still playing Candy Crush Saga whereas they have already moved on to Flappy Bird! What flappy bird?! They showed it to me. Just tap tap tap and the little birdie flies. Wait, why is it called Flappy Bird? Shouldn't it be called Tappy Bird?! 
Anyway, I tried my hand at Flappy Bird and I "died" immediately, the birdie just dropped to the ground. Tried second time and I "died" again, hitting into the first pillar. That was the last time I played Flappy Bird. Flappy Bird disadvantages people who are "eye-hand coordination" challenged.
I will stick to my Candy Crush Saga. Thank you very much.

Stuck!

I have been stuck at Candy Crush Level 350 for a long time now. My luck seems to have ran out lol. Wondering if I should refer to the Candy Crush Saga Cheats??!! 


I think I will continue to try. Just doesn't seem fun to win the game not through my own efforts or through my luck lol.

Plague

I just discovered a new game to play on my iPad - Plague Inc. 
It is pretty addictive as the player has to infect and destroy the world with a pathogen while constantly evolving it so that the human race has no chance to fight back. :) Now this game I really have to think and strategise on how to kill off the entire world population lol. :) I love it! I am "evil"! Muahahaha. :P 
I think it is a pretty good game for my kids to play. It teaches them to make use of information given, think about it and make their best move(s). At the same time, they can learn about pathogen/ disease transmission, epidemiology, health and social issues. :)

New "Kid"

There is a new kid on the block. Well, it is not really a new kid but a sequel to an exisiting popular game. Plants vs Zombie 2 is back, with a whole new range of plants, zombies and worlds! It is just as exciting as the 1st PvZ, if not more and best of all, it is FREE! :)
I just found the way to kick my Candy Crush addiction lol. :P

I have an Addiction

I have an addiction. I need help. Please help if you can! I will be most grateful!! 

SEND ME LIVES and EXTRA MOVES for Candy Crush Saga!! 

I promise I will kick my addiction once I get pass Level 245!!

PANICKED!

For a good 30 minutes, I panicked and thought I was back to Level 1 in Candy Crush! I haven't had the chance to play Candy Crush all day today and was about to attempt playing Level 245 on my iPad when the message popped up that I wasn't connected to Facebook. The same message appeared a number of times even after I reinstalled Candy Crush and it showed me as being at Level 1 instead of Level 245! What happened to the other 244 levels that I had played and conquered?!! 
I checked with a friend who plays CC too and was alerted to double-check my CC status in Facebook. Thank goodness! I am still at Level 245. PHEW! I would really cry if I am back to Level 1 again. It seems that there may be a glitch with CC app on the iPad. Hope the glitch will be fixed soon.
 

Working Again

The Updates on the App Store on my iPad 3 is working again. The Updates section is no longer blank but reflects the number of updates available. :) The updates automatically started installing when I hit "Update All". Looks like Apple has finally resolved the issue. :)

App Store Updating

manually, by hand. I still couldn't figure out what is wrong with the updating of App Store. But I finally found a way to update my apps on my iPad. It is a lot more troublesome but it gets the job done. I had to go into the Purchased section of App Store and looked through the apps I have bought alphabetically and click on the "Update" buttons when I see one. It is slow and troublesome but I at least get to update my apps. Hope Apple finds a solution soon.

Stuck at 201!

It seems like I have been stuck at Level 201 of Candy Crush Saga for the longest time now. :( Soon, soon. One of these days I will get all the lucky combos and moves to clear the level lol.

Minecraft?

The girls have been begging me to buy Minecraft to install on my iPad. I see them playing it on their iPhones and it seems to be a really addictive game. I prefer they spend more time on their studies. :P The only reason they want me to buy it is so that they play Minecraft on a bigger screen (on my iPad)! Not sure if I want to buy it... Maybe if they do well for their end of year examinations, I will definitely, seriously consider buying it. :)

4 weeks and 5 Days Later

I am still playing Candy Crush saga lol. I am now at Level 147. I have overtaken some of my friends who started playing much earlier than me haha. :P Some levels were pretty frustrating but I have to admit I have been pretty lucky too. I don't really strategise and plan my moves. I just play! Haha. Much to the frustration of a good friend who introduced me to the game. :P

"Sugar" Addict

I installed Candy Rush Saga 48 hours ago. Now, 48 hours later, I am at Level 30! Haha. Guess it is confirmed that I am a addict to Candy Crush Saga. :P No, I am not the kind who play games or read while I am in the toilet. I can't multitask in that way lol. I only play when I needed a break. Serious! :)

Turned

to the dark side! I finally couldn't resist and succumbed to installing Candy Crush Saga on my iPad. I have to blame my colleague who is always playing Candy Crush during lunch. I got intrigued by the game lol.

Install?

I have been receiving invites from my friends on Facebook to play a certain game. I have resisted installing it for the longest time as I have my fair share of games that I have been playing with such as Mahjong Smiles HD, etc. That certain game is Candy Crush. As I was milling over if I should install it on my iPad, I decided to ask my girls. I was extremely surprised by their answer. 
"NO!" was what they said. I thought they would probably jumped at the chance to play a new game on my iPad. I asked them, "Why not?". Both my girls said, "Why must  follow and play something that everyone is playing?". Ok, that is a good answer for me. The reason why I have been resisting too is because everyone is playing it and I just can't see the appeal of being one of the masses lol. It is the same reason why I refused to get an iPhone!
I am glad to know that my girls take after me - they won't be blindly following the crowd/ trend lol. 

Replacement Love

I was introduced to this new app as a replacement for Tap Reef. I know they are in totally different categories so I can't compare the two. But I simply love the new app and it engages my mind a lot more! :) It is The Tiny Bang Story HD. There are different machines to fix and different puzzles to solve in the different segments. The artwork is really lovely and adorable with a simple child-like quality. Navigation is simple in this game and it is definitely fun for all ages. :) The Tiny Bang Story HD is really addictive though, you can't put your iPad down but just want to keep going on to the next puzzle and the next and the next lol. You have been warned lol.

Without You

I have passed a full day without you. I thought I would not be able to survive the separation but I did. I still feel sad but I was also relieved. I realised now that you had become a chore to me. I am glad that I have made the call to release us both to continue on with our lives.
