Replacement Love

I was introduced to this new app as a replacement for Tap Reef. I know they are in totally different categories so I can't compare the two. But I simply love the new app and it engages my mind a lot more! :) It is The Tiny Bang Story HD. There are different machines to fix and different puzzles to solve in the different segments. The artwork is really lovely and adorable with a simple child-like quality. Navigation is simple in this game and it is definitely fun for all ages. :) The Tiny Bang Story HD is really addictive though, you can't put your iPad down but just want to keep going on to the next puzzle and the next and the next lol. You have been warned lol.

Without You

I have passed a full day without you. I thought I would not be able to survive the separation but I did. I still feel sad but I was also relieved. I realised now that you had become a chore to me. I am glad that I have made the call to release us both to continue on with our lives.
Farewell and take care, Tap Reef.

Family Support

Marieann and Juliane really had fun playing with Pop Pirates. When they were in school today, they told their respective friends about Pop Pirates and that their uncle had a hand in designing it. The girls showed their support for their uncle by asking their friends to download Pop Pirates lol.
Marieann and Juliane are extremely proud of their uncle. They said he is really clever. :)

Pop Pirates by Bloc Media Productions

A new game app is out. Probably nothing new as you would say because there are new apps everyday. Well, this one is special because my very talented brother and his team at Bloc Media Productions designed it!! :) Pop Pirates.
Pop Pirates follows in the style of classic arcade game with its vertical scrolling shooting. That is where the charm is. :) It is also simple to play and doesn't need complicated combination moves. Just tilt your iPad/ iPhone/ iPod to move the craft around and just touch anywhere on the screen to fire. Pop Pirates sure brings back fond childhood memories for me! :) My girls really enjoyed playing it too. :)
Dear friends, please support my brother and his team at Bloc Media. Download Pop Pirates now (free for limited time only) and play! :) Please rate it if you enjoy playing it.

YM, we feel really proud of you! :)

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

The girls' father bought them a new toy. Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. It was a promise by their father to the girls. He promised that he would buy it if the girls passed their exams but he didn't specify the range of marks they had to get! Sigh. He also bought a PS3 station so that they can play Skylanders. Well I am sure he has bought for himself some PS3 games too.

Tap Reef ...

is back! FINALLY!
After two days of deleting and reinstalling Tap Reef thrice a day on my iPad, I was getting pretty fed up with it. I was thinking of just deleting the apps for good and moving on to something else. Then it happened. The crashes just stopped. I think the Tap Reef developers have resolved the problem and hopefully, it stays that way! Ok I will give Tap Reef another chance.

Animal Crossing: Wild World

To relieve stress, I have recently taken to playing Animal Crossing on my NDS, other than Bejeweled Twist and Puzzle League. Animal Crossing is unlike Bejeweled Twist and Puzzle League. I live a virtual life in a village (which I can name) populated with anthropomorphic animals. The game is quite interactive as I can socialize with the other town residents and perform various activities such as fishing, bug catching, planting, collecting items and working to pay back my house loan, expand it, and furnish or decorate it, etc. The game also takes place in real time, reflecting the current time of day and season. :)

Animal Crossing is a great stress reliever, really fun and also highly addictive lol. So beware haha. :P

Bejeweled Twist

Remember I used to be addicted to bejeweled 2? :) Now I have a new addiction, Bejeweled Twist! Hahaha. It is similar to Bejeweled 2 except you now have to twist the jewels to form rows. There is a bit more thinking involved as it is no longer just a straight forward moving of the jewels left, right, up or down. Sometimes to get a row, you may need to twist the different jewels a number of times. It is really challenging! :)

Excuse me, I am going to play Bejeweled Twist now. :)

Swimming and Eggs

My good friend invited my girls and I over to his condo because the girls have been dying to go swimming when they were last there. We arrived just after 9:30am and the girls couldn't wait to jump into the pool after saying hi to my friend. The weather was perfect, a little cloudy and not windy. :)

The girls swam for a good 45 minutes in the pool, actually they were more like wading in the pool as they can't swim lol. I was in the pool too because I have to keep an eye on them, just in case. Better safe than sorry. While watching them, I was using the jacuzzi in the pool. Thank goodness for that, otherwise I would be bored lol. :P
While the girls were having their tea back at the condo, my friend set up his Dreamcast for them to play, besides his NDS. Both Marieann and Juliane are only interested in Streetfighter kind of games haha. Marieann is really good. She even managed to beat my friend several times when they played against each other hahaha. Friend, you getting old lah. :P

We later went to lunch at Hatched, Evans Road with my friend and his wife. Hatched serves mostly egg dishes cooked in various ways - boiled, baked, poached, scrambled, fried. We all had The Designer omelette ($10) where we could choose 3 toppings to create our own omelette. For dessert, we shared a Pancake Party and Summer Berries ice cream. I forgot to bring my camera so no photos :( but much to the delight of my girls as it meant they could eat the food at once when it arrived.

After lunch, my friend dropped us home. The girls told me that they had a great day for 3 reasons. First, they finally went "swimming". Second, they played Dreamcast games. Third, they love eggs. After deciding between themselves, Marieann and Juliane announced to me that they will be going back to my friend's place for "swimming", for Dreamcast and also to Hatched for the eggs! Wah, already made plans without discussing with me. Haha. Friend, so how? Lol.

Surprise Meeting

I was out with Juliane today doing our usual routine. :) We were first at Takshimaya (for Juliane's Mckkies Happy Meal and toys! lol), then we were at Isetan Wisma (for my Clarins lol), and finally, we went to Ion. There is a The Planet Traveller at Ion. I thought I have a browse to have an idea what I may need for my Denver trip. I bought a pair of Bridgedale socks as I am intending to spend a day at the Rockies Mountain National Park. Better be safe than sorry as in getting the right kind of cushioning with the Bridgedale socks than to have blisters on my feet.

Anyway, to cut the long story short, I was famished and was looking around the food court at B4 at 2pm+ when I met my colleague and good friend from work and his wife. Actually it was Juliane who saw him first haha. We had lunch together. While the adults were eating, Juliane was kept entertained by my friend's NDS. For someone who has never played with NDS before, she is very good and she much preferred the fighting games to my friend's surprise haha. :P

My friend and wife gave us a lift home after our late lunch. Thanks. :) When we got home, Juliane asked that I buy a NDS too. Seeing how obsessed Juliane was when playing with my friend's NDS... Do me a favour please. Don't tell Juliane and Marieann that I already have one. Shhhh...

New Toy

A colleague/ friend bought a Nintendo DSi recently and I had the chance to play with it. I think NDSi is much easier to control than PS2 lol. After work, my friend was giving another friend and I a lift into town when he decided that he would stop for a while at Far East Plaza before going to Kinokuniya. He thought he would show me a shop at FEP that sells Nintendo stuff as I had expressed interest in getting a Nintendo haha. :P

I bought a NDS Lite hahaha. I got it for $169. A real good deal. Must thank my friend who showed me the shop. :) My friend and I parted ways after I got my new toy as he went on to Kino and I went home to charge my new NDS Lite so that I could play with it! :)

Puzzle Game

Updated 20 November, 11:32pm.
I have removed the Blox game because the music that goes with it isn't exactly very addictive to listen to! Anyway, here is the link and you can find many other games (action, puzzle, shooting, racing, etc) that you can play and place on your blog.

I think I am addicted to puzzle games lol. Here is a new one that I just started playing recently. It is really fun and really exercise the brain to think! :)

New Addiction

I used to be pretty addicted to Pop Cap's Bejeweled 2, playing it every night lol. But now I only play it once in a while. :P As I was playing Bejeweled 2 recently, I saw a new game, Plants Vs Zombies. Sounds like a really silly game. Nonetheless, I took a look and a go at it.

Oh gosh, I am hooked now! Hahaha. It is pretty good fun, killing zombies with various plants but at the same time, needs a fair bit of strategising lol. :P Ok, going to kill more zombies now before they eat my brains hahaha. :P

Mind Games

I like playing mind games. I don't mean the psychological term of "mind games". I have no time to play those type of mind games. I literally mean games that stretches your mind. :)

I have been playing the Shanghai Mahjong game to relax my mind when I take a break from my work, especially when I work late at night. It is quite challenging as you have to clear all the mahjong tiles in order to win. You really have to strategise how to pair off the tiles. My best time was under 4m to clear all the tiles. :) After the game, I often feel my mind is more alert lol.

Try it at this
link. It is quite fun and truth be told, it is quite addictive too. You have been warned. :P

Cool Website - IGN.com

I found this website: IGN.com recently. I thought it is pretty cool and useful as it provides gaming and entertainment resource for games, videos, movies, tv shows, dvds, music, etc.

I have been keeping up with my favourite tv series with it lol. The website provides the episode guides of tv series (for the different seasons). It is good as I sometimes missed out on certain episodes and I can read up on the website to keep up to date lol. :P

I think it is quite useful to gamers too as it has reviews, news, features, cheats, walkthroughs, etc for the different game platforms - PC, Xbox, PSP, PS, Wii, etc. Too bad, I am not into gaming now-a-days, otherwise I would definitely read up on the cheats and walkthroughs hahaha. :P Click here to have a look at the website. :)

Facebook Games

I really enjoy playing games. It is really good for the mind, either relaxes it, stimulates it or frustrates it, lol.

I have a number of games going on Facebook - Slayers, Vampires, Werewolves, Counterstrike: Red Team Go, Jedi vs Sith, Pirates, Attack, Boggle and Scrabble. I am still trying to figure out how to play Pirates and Attack and so have been rather passive on them, lol. But I have been most active with Slayers, Vampires, Werewolves, Jedi vs Sith, Scrabble and Boggle. My favourites are Jedi vs Sith and Scrabble because strategy is needed to play the games well.

Boggle is also fast becoming my favourite. But I am still learning the game, lol. Mind still not configured yet to see the different combination of words not in the usual straight line, hahaha. But I am not giving up on Boggle yet, even though I lost all my games. I think my friends must be tired of playing it with me, lol. Sorry, but I want to play until I win one game at least, hahaha. Yar, I know "Wait long long", lol. :P
