All the Best

Today's the last day of work for our intern, Edwin. We decided to throw him a little farewell party. Once we have gathered at the Chill Room, Christin went to get Edwin on the pretext that the project PI, Jennifer wanted Edwin to present his work now! You should have seen Edwin's face when he came through the door, holding his Macbook and we were singing "Happy Birthday" to him as a joke. He mumbled, "But it is not my birthday". LOL. Once he knew we were throwing him a little farewell party, he looked so relieved. He thought he was getting into big trouble with Jennifer as he was finalising his work. Haha. :D

Edwin is only with us for slightly less than a month but he has been a great help to our service project. He is really responsible, a keen learner and a great team player. He will be going back to UK to continue with his studies. I wish him all the best in his studies! :)

Today is the last day of counselling for 2008.

It was with a heavy heart as I saw my P6 counsellees for the last time. I have grown close to them as I watched them grow over the year, or years for some of them. In a way, they are like my own kids too. I want to see them do well and live well. I am glad that all of them have grown a lot more mature since I first saw them and I hope I have shown them that they have the potential to be what they strive to be and to believe in themselves. I certainly do believe in them. :) I gave each of them a small token (a bookmark from Korea) and a little card with my contacts so that they can reach me if they want to/ need to.

I wish all of them well and all the best for their future. I will always be here for them, should they need me. Take care!
