Sisters

Found the passport size photos of the girls which were taken when they were 3/4 years old. They looked alike lol. Can you guess who is who. :)
The one on the left is Marieann and the one on the right is Juliane. :)

P5 Camping Trip

Marieann has gone for her school's Primary 5 3 days & 2 nights camping trip. It is compulsory for all Primary 5 students to participate in the camping trip. I remember when I was teaching in SCGS, I was also involved in the P5 camping trips. Time really flies and now it is my daughter's turn. :)
Marieann was upset last night and complained to me that Juliane told her she would not miss her when she is at the camp. However, this evening, Juliane told me that she missed her sister and it was so quiet without her Jie Jie (sister in Chinese) around. Juliane made me promised not to tell Marieann. Lol.
Well, I both miss and don't miss Marieann. I miss her somewhat because it is the first time that she is away from home on her own (even if it is still with school and there are teachers around). But I believe strongly it will be a good learning experience for her. I also don't miss Marieann because there is suddenly so much peace and quiet at home hahaha!

Sisters

I was playing around with my camera when I managed to take a candid photo of the girls. It is a nice photo of them and the sepia colour also went well with the wooden furniture lol. :P

Nature or Nurture?

A colleague was singing praises of my girl, Juliane whom she met at the staff lunch. She couldn't forget how diplomatic she is for a child so young.

Between the two sisters, Juliane is the more diplomatic one. She is also the more daring and a risk-taker. Marieann is more shy, cautious, and follows the book. Sometimes, I marvel at how different the sisters are from each other, even though they grow up in the same household. Guess it must be nature over nurture lol. Or it could also be nurture as I started working part-time when Juliane came along whereas with Marieann, I was working full-time. Haha.
