The Talented ThePianoGuys

I have featured ThePianoGuys before in late July 2012 and I still think that they are really talented and brilliant.

Rolling in the Deep - Adele (Piano/Cello Cover) (uploaded by ThePianoGuys)

Payphone by Maroon 5

I better start keeping in touch with what's going on in the Top 40s chart lol. Here is a song I like very much, Payphone by Maroon 5. :)

Out of Touch

I was watching The Voice, an American reality talent show with my girls. There are four coaches: Christina, Blake, Ceelo and Adam who would choose their own team of singers through a blind audition, then train their team of singers to battle each other, etc. I only recognised Christina Aguilera. :P I thought my girls would be worse than me- not knowing any of the coaches at all! I was so WRONG.

Girls: We know Adam.

Me: You do?! Don't bluff!
Girls: He is the singer from Maroon 5. You don't know?

Me: Err.. no. You know Maroon 5?!

Girls: Maroon 5 is the group singing the song that you like.

Me: Which song?

Girls: Payphone

Me: OH  :O

They proceeded to Google up Maroon 5 to show me that Adam Levine is indeed the lead singer of Maroon 5. I felt so old. :(

ThePianoGuys - Bourne Vivaldi (Bourne Soundtrack/ Vivaldi Double Cello Concerto)

Absolutely brilliant! Beautiful music and location!

ThePianoGuys - A Thousand Years by Christina Perri

I found these guys by accident. Oh my gosh, the combination of piano and cello playing together is pure magic. Hauntingly beautiful.

Taste in Music

I am supposed to pick bands/ singers that I like so obviously must be bands/ singers that I actually listen to, right? Results as shown below.

Your Taste in Music:

Teen Pop: Medium Influence Country: Low Influence Nineties: Low Influence Pop: Low Influence Adult Alternative: No Influence

How's Your Taste in Music?

Teen Pop?! Ok, I think maybe it is time for me to cut back on watching so much Disney movies and Disney Channel series such as Hannah Montana with the girls. :P

Blake

I heard Blake's CD when I was in my friend's car last week on my way to Seletar Reservoir. The CD belonged to her husband who was driving the car then. Friend's husband said Blake is a band from UK and he likes their singing.

At first, I thought, "Hmm, ok, beautiful voices. In perfect harmony and pitch. But hor, classical singing, must be some prim and proper, boring looking, middle-aged guys." Boy, did my eyes pop when I saw the CD cover. I saw four really gorgeous looking guys!!! And Friend's husband insisted that Blake is NOT a boy band. Err... hello, Friend's Husband, a group, gorgeous looking, still NOT boy band??!! Hahaha. Even better, they can sing most beautifully! Lol. :)

After more than a week, I found myself still thinking about them, oops, I mean their singing. Lol. A Freudian slip. Hahaha. Lol. :P Here's Yo Te Voy A Amar (I'll Make Love to You) by Blake, the classical boy band. :)

PS. My heart is melting just listening to them sing. Hahaha. :P

Music from The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian

Here are two songs which really caught my attention from the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. Well, the music scores are pretty good too but these two songs just captivated me. The Call by Regina Spektor is simply haunting and beautiful. It touches a chord within my soul. This is Home by Switchfoot is just as good and very catchy too.
Caution: The music videos contain scenes from the movie.

Finetune Radio Added

I thought my blog was starting to look a little boring, lol. I think it needed a little sprucing up, lol. I was browsing through Widgetbox when I saw this wonderful widget application. Hmm, how about some music while looking at my blog? You can enjoy a song or two and I can also enjoy the music too, lol. Doesn't it sound like a great idea? Hahaha. :P

Finetune Radio has quite a wide range of artists, both old and new. The collection of songs is good, from both past and current albums of the artists. Play around with Finetune Radio when you are reading my blog the next time or rather you can do it now. Trust me, you will have fun, lol. I did, hahaha. :P
