Junior Bronze Award

Juliane received the Junior Bronze award for The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition! I am very surprised and happy for her. Her teacher chose a few students who are good writers, not including Juliane, in the class to participate but welcomed other students in the class to participate. Juliane decided to take part on her own accord. Surprisingly, she is the only one in her class who won a place in the competition!
I guess Juliane has less or no pressure on her and she could write as creatively as she wants. I am proud and happy, not because Juliane won a prize but because she took up a challenge and didn't let others define who she is. I hope this experience will spur her to challenge herself more as well as to take up future challenges. :)

No Junk Food Challenge

I have decided to take up a "No Junk Food" Challenge, starting 1 October 2014 for 21 days for a better health since I am pre-diabetic.
I avoided eating from the above list when I first found out I am pre-diabetic a couple of years back. I felt good physically and mentally. However with the passing of time, I got lazy and lax about what I eat. It's time I watch what I eat again for my health. Wish me luck! :)

Psst, anyone care to join me? :P

Counselling Challenge

There is a new case today. It is going to be a challenge. Have to think hard about this case.
