First Month's Celebration
It has been a while since we have family or friends who have babies. :) It is such a pleasure to receive the first month celebration box from the son and daughter-in-law of a close family friend.

The Royal Baby has Arrived!
A day after the girls asked, the royal baby arrived! :) I can absolutely imagine the excitement over in England. I am so envious of my parents who are now in England visiting my brother and his family. Wonder if they would be joining in the fun and celebrations of the birth of the latest royal. :)

When's the baby coming?
My girls have been asking me about the baby.
My girls: When is the baby coming?
Me: What baby?
My girls: Kate and William's!
Me: I thought she gave birth?
My girls: *rolled their eyes*
Me: OI, that's my move. Cannot use.
I seriously thought that Princess Kate has given birth. Guess not.

Operation "Rescue Babies!"
The girls' guppies keep dying. :( :( I have changed the water in the fish tank but the problem persists. :( I decided to change the sponge in the filter system. Juliane was helping me and in the midst of changing the sponge, the water in the tank clouded up. Juliane was shouting excitedly that there are babies. I was thinking, "Oh dear, she needs to have her eyes checked. Where got baby fish?!". But lo and behold, when I concentrated hard enough, there are baby fishes and they are so tiny!! No wonder, I had missed them. Ok, I am the one who needs my eyesight checked haha :P
We spent a good half an hour fishing out all the babies into another container and it wasn't easy as they could hide easily amidst the pebbles. :( Finally, we got all of them, 17 of them! :)

Boy or Girl?
I received news from my brother in UK that according to the scan, my sister-in-law is expecting a boy again. Hmm, from what I know of my sister-in-law, she would love to have a daughter as she already has two boys. Maybe the scan is not accurate...

Baby No. 3
NO, not me haha. In UK, my brother and my sister-in-law are expecting Baby number 3 in early October. My nephews are pretty excited about the baby. My mother tried asking them if they wanted a baby sister or baby brother. All the two boys said were, "Not yet, not yet". Haha. :D
Congrats, YM and Dinh. Take care, Dinh. Keep us posted with news, ok? :)

Happy 1st Month
Today is good friend and colleague, KM's baby boy's first month celebration. Baby Nicholas was born on 1st May, Labour Day. How apt for his mother, going into labour on Labour Day, lol. It was actually C-section but still, haha. :P
KM invited a couple of us, friends and colleagues from work, over for his baby boy's 1st month celebration. It was buffet and there were two batches - 12 to 1pm for family and relatives, and 1 to 2pm for friends and colleagues. So most of us arrived around 1pm. It was fun to see fellow colleagues and friends on a weekend. There was chatting, catching up with one other, and of course, eating. I thought the food was great because all dishes were NOT spicy, except for one. LOL. What a change from the parties I have attended with catered food where most were spicy food. :P I was really eating to my heart's content! Hahaha. There were the sweets too, like Ou Ni (Yam Paste dessert 芋泥) and Zuizian Bao with red bean paste (Crystal Balls 水晶包), lol. :) Another reason why I was having a great time filling my tummy up. Lol. :P
We saw a glimpse of Baby Nicholas every now and then as KM's mother was carrying him around to show family and friends whenever family and friends arrived. I think the little guy must wondering how come every time he has only just settled into his cot, he is being carried out and shown around to people again, haha. Well, I am sure he will sleep very well tonight. :P Baby Nicholas is very cute and alert. He weighs slightly over 4kg. No lah, I didn't carry him. You all know my fear of carrying newborns, lol. I asked his father for his weight. I didn't take any photos of Baby Nicholas because he was resting when I saw him. Let the little guy rest, lol.
Thanks, KM for inviting us over to your baby's 1st month. Once again, Congratulations. :)

Joys in Life
A good colleague, D and I decided to visit Sharmila, our colleague who gave birth yesterday at Gleneagles. We went to visit Sharm and her bundle of joy at lunch time. Coincidentally, another group of our colleagues decided to visit her too. I guess, great minds think alike, lol, everyone had the same idea of using lunch time to visit Sharm and her baby. So there were a total of 12 people in the ward. It was really lively.
Sharm's baby is really adorable. She has the most gorgeous smile, with a little dimple on her right cheek. She also has such lovely double eyelids which some of us would be most envious of. Sharm wanted us to have a turn at carrying her baby and she was happy snapping our photos. Some of us were a natural carrying a newborn while some needed serious coaxing to carry the baby. LOL. Despite being a mother of 2, I needed major coaxing, actually, I was "forced" to carry the baby. Boy, was I scared. Newborns are so frail. I am really fearful of breaking something. Lol. Ok, glad to say I wasn't the only one who was scared about carrying a newborn. Hahaha.
Once again, Sharm, congrats with the arrival of your new bundle of joy!

After dinner, we decided to have dessert at Tong Shui Cafe, Zion Road (opposite Great World City) since we have a $10 voucher. Hubby was still hungry so he ordered a Thick Toast with Baked Beans, Ham & Egg and a Iced Combi Coffee & HK Milk Tea. Marieann decided to follow her father and ordered a Thick Toast with Butter and Honey. I ordered a Hot Honey & Lemon and a Mango Pomelo Snowy Mountain for dessert. The girls both ordered a Strawberry Tutti Fruitti. Hubby's Thick Toast was not too bad, quite tasty while Marieann's was pretty normal. But quite disappointing was today's desserts :( , nothing spectacular in taste. Definitely not getting these two desserts again.

Baby
Before you all start jumping to conclusions, sorry, NO, I am NOT expecting again. I have already done my national service TWICE. Thank goodness, this "national service" doesn't need to go for reservist. Hmm... is that even possible? Hahaha.
This morning, I went to visit my cousin, Flora at Gleneagles because she has given birth to a beautiful baby girl, Johanna on Monday evening. Johanna is so cute and small! Little feet and hands, little nose, little mouth, little ears, little everything! Really CUTE!! Congrats, Flora.
Oh no, don't get me wrong. Yes, little babies are so cute but note the key word here is I THINK. I am not like dying to have another baby. I have enough, I have two. Hahaha. My goodness, I can't believe that my girls were once that small too! Time really flies.
