The London 2012 Olympics has officially closed. I wanted to watch the Closing Ceremony at 3.30am in the morning but just couldn't wake up in time lol. :P Here are just some of the highlights (my personal favourites) of the closing ceremony (from Youtube lol).  :)

London 2012 Olympics II

I just realised that it has been a week since the Olympic games started and I have yet to watch any of the sporting events! I remembered watching events like rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, running and diving during my younger days. Either I am losing interest or I am becoming lazy (to check the schedules) or both lol. I shall try to catch an event or two to watch! :)

The 2012 Olympics opened in London on the evening of 27 July (Singapore 28 July morning). I regretted not waking up early to watch it because I heard it was good. But thank goodness for the Internet. I can now catch the highlights of the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony. :)

SPECTACULAR!

That is all I could think of as I watched the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Although I didn't watch the entire opening ceremony, what I saw was enough to drop my jaws! I only watched the performances, the fireworks and the lighting of the Olympic flame (I skipped the parade of athletes walking into the National Stadium, too long to watch, lol). The idea of putting 5000 years of Chinese history into the performances was most brilliant and it was creatively done! I would imagine Beijing 2008 is going to be a tough act to follow for the next country hosting the Olympic Games. :P
