Interview

I have a high stakes interview tomorrow afternoon. It will pretty much decide what's next for me.

Sense Making

Looking through a bunch of interviews and trying to make sense of and sieve out the recurring themes. Not easy, kept going back and fro the interviews whenever a new theme emerges.

CCA Interview

Marieann had her interview with CCA Art Club in the afternoon. Apparently there are 27 applicants who applied to join the Art Club but only a handful will be selected. The interview took the form of a drawing. The applicants were asked to draw and the applicants' successful application will be based on the drawing.
Marieann seemed confident about her drawing. All the Best!
However, she also has a Plan B. One of the seniors who was in charge of her class during the Sec 1 Orientation Week is a Librarian. :)

Exit Interview?!

I received an email from HRD asking me to attend an exit interview - my exit interview. What?! A week ago, I was told that my contract renewal is being processed but now HRD is asking me to go for an exit interview! Someone better tell me what is going on!!!

Pilot Study II

Today we tried out the survey again and the interview instrument. It has been a while since I used my teacher voice. Took a bit of getting used to. :P

Interviews in School

Went to school in the morning with one of the RAs to conduct interviews with teachers for the assessment project. It is always nice going to school. I mean I like to see the buzz and action in school. :) The interviews went well and the teachers were informative. Hopefully we can get as much information from the students tomorrow.

I transcribed one of the interviews which was an hour long. I managed to transcribe it within 2.5 hours. :)

Interviews

We had interview sessions again today. We are still looking for RAs for our project. One of the down side of scheduling interviews back to back is that we can't remember what was exactly said for each interview session although mostly would be the same lol. Must be old age, need to take lecithin. :P

Interviews

I was one of the interviewers today for the RA interviews. Conducted 4 interviews in one day. Feeling pretty zonked out by the end of the day. It was pretty fun being one of the interviewers though lol. :P But I did my best to make the interviewees feel comfortable by chit-chatting with them first before the interview started. :)

Got at least 2 more interviews lined up...

Long Day(s)

I was interviewing teachers for my project today. It was quite exhausting because I had to pay careful attention. Although there are specific questions to ask, sometimes the teachers might say something which was interesting and I would follow up with more questions. :P

The day before, a group of us were working on scheduling papers, workshops and symposiums for the coming conference in June which is organised by my research centre. That was pretty tiring too but we had lots of fun working together.

Looking forward to the long weekend for some relaxation. :) Hmm, dreaming of a massage lol.

Interview about My Blog (The Other One)

Today, I gave an interview to two NUS students about my blog. No, not this one. This is my personal blog, definitely not worth interviewing about, lol. It is my other blog, the official no-nonsense one. The students are working on their project about enbloc and what it is doing to people.

I met up with the students at the Serasi Food Court and Juliane came along with me to the interview (Marieann was having a nap). Juliane was most well-behaved. She was happy with her butter sugar toast and didn't disturb us at all for the whole one hour. She is such a good girl! Before the interview, I sent my responses to the interview questions to the students, hoping it would help them during the write-up. At the interview, they asked for clarification as well as other questions that they haven't asked. I tried my best to answer all their questions. I told them if they need further clarifications or have other questions, to feel free to contact me again. After the interview, I brought them over to my estate to take a few photos for their project. They also took a photo of Juliane and I, lol.

After the interview, I also casually asked if they managed to get the other blogs (administrators) for an interview. Unfortunately, I was the only one who responded to them and agreed to be interviewed. It is quite sad that people are too busy that they can't even afford to spare an hour of their time. Sigh.

I wish the students all the Best for their project.

Interview

Today, I had an interview. No, NO, NOT a job interview, lol. I am already in a new project and I am very happy working in this project. :)

I gave an interview about my PhD research topic for the centre's magazine. Often, it has been me interviewing others such as teachers and students. The tables finally turned, lol. This is my first time being interviewed! I was actually very surprised when they first approached me to ask about interviewing me about my research topic. Never thought people might be interested in my topic. Yeah, why not? For the fun of it as well as to help my friends out, if not, they have to go searching for another person whose topic fits the theme for their magazine. It feels really strange to be interviewed, lol. But thank goodness, it is a friend who interviewed me so it was quite fun and not so stressful. I was given the interview questions before hand so I was able to prepare for the interview. I thought it is not very nice to go "Er..", "Hmm", "Erhm" during the interview, right?! Lol. I even had notes on what I was going to say. See, the perfectionist streak in me at work, hahaha. :P

The interview went well, I think. My friend let me indulged in a laughing fit before starting the interview proper, hahaha. Thanks. Really appreciated it. :) Hope the article is good/ substantial enough for the magazine. :)
