Baking Craze

Marieann is going through her baking phase or craze now.
Last week, she was trying to bake red velvet cupcakes but they didnt turn out right because she used too much food colouring and they tasted bitter. Oops :(
A few days ago, she started baking banana cake and actually, they turned out quite good. :)
Today, she started baking chocolate cookies. Not too bad either. :)
I wonder what is next... :)

Baking and Bowling

Marieann attended 2 birthday parties, 1-3pm at Bakerzin Kids, UE Square and 6-8.30pm at Raffles Town Club. As I have to attend a meeting from 2 to 6pm, the girls' father had to accompany Marieann to the parties as well as bring Juliane along to look after her.

At the first birthday party, the girls totally loved the baking and had lots of fun. They brought home the Vanilla Square cake which they baked together. They also love the chef outfit which were theirs to keep. Their cake was actually tasty. :)
At the second birthday party, Juliane loved bowling although it was her first experience. She couldn't stop talking about bowling.

I wished I was there to see them enjoy themselves.

Baking Time - Lemon Cookies

I promised the girls we would be doing some baking today. So for the past few nights, I have been surfing the net for a simple kiddy cookie recipe. Most of my cookbook recipes are far too complex and complicated for the girls. I managed to find the ideal simple recipe last night lol.

We went to buy the ingredients after a pizza lunch (ordered in, lol). We were going to make Lemon Cookies. We only needed ingredients such as butter, sugar, flour, and lemon. Told you it is a very simple recipe, even the steps were really simple lol.

The girls helped me to measure out the ingredients needed, they helped to stir the mix, and they helped to put the trays into the oven for baking. Don't worry, I was there to supervise lol. After 8 minutes, the cookies were ready! The girls enjoyed eating the "fruits" or rather the cookies of their labour. :P
